Summer Research Opportunity Program in Pathology (SROPP)
The American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) has teamed up with FASEB Minority Access for Research Careers (MARC) to provide summer research opportunities in pathology for underrepresented minority students by providing financial support for students to visit, learn, and participate in new research in the mechanisms of disease at prominent research laboratories and institutions during the summer in 2008. • ASIP promoting diversity in science trainee travel award
To promote the entry of under-represented scientists into the basic /translational/ clinical science community, the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) has developed Promoting Diversity in Science ASIP Trainee Travel Awards. These awards honor excellence in biomedical research focused on understanding mechanisms and classification of disease and provides travel awards to ASIP Trainee members (undergraduate students, pre-doctoral candidates, post-doctoral fellows) to encourage participation in ASIP scientific meetings and conferences.
This website is committed to increasing the number of minorities entering science careers and to celebrating contributions to science by minority scientists. The JGH portal provides a supportive environment that encourages underrepresented minorities to pursue science careers.

The FASEB MARC Program
provides funding for travel awards to support the participation of Faculty/Mentors and Students, and Poster/Oral Presenters at selected scientific meetings and conferences.
