PathFinders: ASIP's meeting Mentoring Program
Pathfinders is a mentoring opportunity for first-time attendees to the ASIP Annual Meeting at Experimental Biology. This program was created to offer guidance and build camaraderie between ASIP trainees and regular members and offer guidance to trainees who attend the meeting without their institutional advisor. By leveraging the guidance and expertise of current ASIP members, this program will allow trainees to be introduced to the Society on a more personal level, and to maximize their conference experience.
Trainees are matched with a mentor (an ASIP member who is actively engaged with the organization), based on their interests and/or availability. In return, program participants will be asked to participate in the graduate trainee welcome reception and have official pictures taken, which will be included in the trainee newsletter.
If you are interested in participating in this program because you will be a first-time attendee at the ASIP 2017 Annual Meeting in Chicago, please take a moment to contact Dia Pellerin and she will send you a short questionnaire. The results will help us make a suitable match to ensure your optimal guidance and participation. More in-depth information will be sent once pairing has been completed with your mentor.
