The American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) is now accepting applications for Editor-in-Chief of The American Journal of Pathology. The successful candidate will continue a century-old tradition and build upon the Journal's reputation as a leading multidisciplinary source of the latest research on the cellular and molecular biology of disease. The American Journal of Pathology remains the most highly cited journal in Pathology (Source: Thomson Reuters © 2010). The Editor-in-Chief is a vital part of ASIP's mission to promote the discovery, advancement, and dissemination of basic and translational knowledge in experimental pathology and related disciplines. With this in mind, the Editor-in-Chief will direct the editorial vision of the Journal with the support of an experienced centralized editorial office that facilitates the timely review and efficient handling of approximately 1300 original manuscripts per year, distributed among Associate Editors with expertise covering the broad spectrum of experimental pathology.
